At first I thought this was too good to be true.
A building company that is recruiting. :):)
And you are in new build housing. :|
Put an ad in your local newspaper, you will get plenty of calls - people who are willing to travel also. The recession is not over, despite what they tell us.
Then I checked your previous posts, you were asking for full time website designers last time - are you an agency looking for CVs? I think you should tell us if you are.

I think you could be right.

Most trades people I know start work at 8 a.m. and finish at 4pm

They don't do office hours.. 9-5.30

Finish at 4pm!!! Lazy sods - you stay till the jobs done!

LOL..

My guys finish at 4pm... but they will carry on to finish, if it can be done that day.
They don't ask/get more money for so doing.

However,.. they could finish a job at midday.. and if there is no point in starting another job.. they go home.. but I still pay them for the whole day!!

swings and roundabouts... works for me!

Hi

LOL do builders have CV's ???

Nooo I'm looking for people to work with me building new homes in the above areas.

To cut a very long story short I employed some people that although they provided me with what looked to be legit ID relating to their ability to work in the UK it later turned out that this wasn't the case with a selection of them, they ID was fake.

Working hours can be negotiated of course and I think Tej says it all its swings and roundabouts.

Any more questions relating to the offer I'd be happy to discuss via PM

Regards

Paul

So where do the website designers fit in, also 9 to 5.30 ?
I would have thought also that if you own land and are starting new housing in 'Bristol, Nottingham, Leeds and Manchester' then merely putting up a site name board with your company name and phone number would soon put you in contact with local tradesmen and subcontractors.
Activity on site would mean you getting many visitors enquiring about work, some with CVs and references.:)
I'm just surprised that you are using this internet forum for recruitment purposes.
Is there a fee involved?

Putting a sign up on a construction yard and hoping someone goes past looking for work - Never thought of that I'll keep that in mind thou.....

I knew I'm at the cutting edge of requirement here Estimator - advertising for trades people on a bussiness forums site on the trades section - whatever next !!!!

And what do I want internet designers for - I'll give you a clue its in the name..... and its not painting houses !!!!

Fee ??? - Of course there will be a fee - they call it paying your employees.

My cutting edge requirement as already landed me 4 people + cost me nothing - now thats the sort of requirement I like !!!

Miss Pretty Pink

Or the Job Centre
Of course I am sure you know to ask for proof of working in the UK, Public liability insurance, CIS card - extremely important - , references, NVQ qualifications etc etc.

As with the majority of people i've been struggling to find work this year. If any of your work is in my area or you have any contacts in the northwest could you contact me on 07894284673. thanks

Hi Paul

You are,of course, quite correct in asking to see the appropriate documentation before any placement of a potential workforce.

However, asking for such documents to be scanned and Emailed is not the correct thing to do in my humble opinion.

Surely a quick telephone call either to yourself,or to your office, would give you all the information you need, and then maybe a follow up on site to verify the credentials you require.

This bloke is trying to scam people into giving information that he could use to clone people stay clear and don't send a thing. no company would ask you to send the documents to them. They should ask you to come to their office with these things that way you both get to meet. STAY CLEAR!!!!!!!!

Hi ACS

Everything seems to point in that direction re documents asked for.

I would like Paul to come back on and tell us if this is his website :-

http://www.psdevelopments.org.uk/home-of-ps-development.html

And also, why he is so loathe to supply any business details, going around and around in circles with his somewhat " mystical " business offerings.

Surely he would not be stupid enough to come on a business forum offering some kind of scam bait, silly man.

its supposition unless you have proof, not good to go public with unsubstantiated stuff as per Estwigs post....

Well if he wants to sue me then fine.... let's wait and see who comes back to say they've got work from this nationwide building contractor who employs people directly from forum posts.
My extensive past experience in this industry tells me it just doesn't happen :)

Hi Estwig,Matt,CD

Nearly a week of trying to pin Paul down for an office/mobile number, ( at least ) to gain more information regarding his initial proposals,( all conducted through Email ) has proved fruitless.

The website i posted,and this one http://www.checkatrade.com/PSBuildingandDevelopmentsLtd/Profile.aspx
may,or may not,be attributed to him.

To ask for sensitive documents to be scanned/sent to a total stranger ( which he is ) is absolutely ludicrous.

I naively passed on his details, and his generous offer,to other trades who are not so au fey with the " tinternet " ( yea,you know, tea swillin hairy assed tradesmen ( no offence Estwig:) who like to do business face to face,or at least by phone.

All i am saying is,i would like Paul to come back here and give some explanation as to why he is being so mysterious.

And yes Paul,i know you nearly got fined 100k for employing a bunch of serb/polish,or whatever they were, builders.
