Does anyone have any recommendations for a (EU) trademark watching service that will notify us if someone tries to trademark something similar to our trademark?

I use Compumark for my clients. They will provide a global watching service for a small annual payment. Do you have an EU trade mark yourself? If you do, the EUIPO will inform you of any later applications that they feel is similar to your EU trade mark.

Yes. We have a EU trademark however it was setup by an IP lawyer. I guess the notifications get sent to them and they want £40 for each one that they forward to us!

Ouch! That could get expensive. Services like Compumark aren't that cheap either. I think you would be looking at about £700 each year.
