Hi,
I'm in the process of to register a series of trademarks (International) and have some queries:
I hear that you cannot be descriptive in your mark & registering in black & white gives you 95% coverage. My queries are:
1) I would like to register my brand logo & text, the structure of which would be for example:
styled number e.g. 7 in art/image format
text e.g fit wonders (making sure it's not descriptive)
LONDON (would adding London be too specific or classed as descriptive?)
strap line: Uniting Fashion with Beauty (would this be classed as descriptive?)
2)I understand submitting in black & white gives us great protection & has 95% coverage, what 5% is not covered??
3) Is it possible to have up to 3 lines of text (excluding strapline/london under my artwork to protect relative names e.g.
styled number e.g. 7 in art/image format
text 1 e.g fit wonders (making sure it's not descriptive)
text 2 e.g work it (making sure it's not descriptive)
text 3 e.g burn it (making sure it's not descriptive)
LONDON (would adding london be too specific or classed as descriptive?)
strap line: Uniting Fashion with Beauty (would this be classed as descriptive?)
Tearing my hair out trying to get my head round this all...Thanks in advance for your help.
