Top Spot Marketing Limited- Anyone dealt with?

Anyone heard of Top Spot Marketing Limited? They place ads for you on Facebook? This is something that we want to get involved with next year but I'm a bit wary based on previous experiences we've encountered.

Definitely think advertising on Facebook could be great but just dont want to go through the wrong company and get ripped off!

They are based in Manchester and just wondered if anyone has had any good/bad feedback?

Thanks for that I didn't realise you could do them yourself! I've just checked my fb page and I guess it must work a lot like google ads - design a simple ad and set a daily budget. Thats just saved me the money they were asking! cheers!

I have just dealt with Top Spot Marketing and i would advise to stay away, we found it a waste of money, nobody came to us and said they saw us on facebook and i am not sure if the thing was done properly as you dont really get any feedback from them, i was told that if i paid by paypal the thing would stop after a month, i havent heard anything from them for a few months (no invoices calls etc) then out of the blue i got a default notice saying i owe 2 months payments, called them up to ask why about 3 times and emailed but nobody comes back to you, managed to get hold of someone and was told should have read the terms and conditions so it tough, this is my personla experience with them but has put me off anything like this again as its so hard to check that what has been sold is actually what you have got

I would check your PayPal account, if they asked you to pay by paypal they must have a way to get at your money. Were you on a one month trial? as I was!!!! Did they mention they have terms and conditions for this one months trial??? This happened to me, no mention by phone, email or letter about their contract which they do not inform you about, which means basically that if YOU do not cancel in writing 2 working days before the end of the one months trial they then without your knowledge continue with an agreement, which you know absolutely nothing about, until you find numerous withdrawals from your bank account. Unless a company sends you a CONTRACT do not agree to anything over the phone no matter how good it sounds, there will always be a catch. It would'nt surprise me if they contact PayPal and demand your money for what they perceive as good business practice.

Yeah do it yourself because there is no skill in creating perfect ads with good copy, good headlines, choosing the best image, optimising landing pages, split testing, working out which demographics to target.

I would agree there is more to it than just placing your ads. You need to get an understanding of what makes a good ad and how conversion rate optimisation is used to make your ads even better. It's not a huge amount to learn, however if you want to do it properly (and without outsourcing) you do need to do more than just hastily write some ad copy and set a daily budget!

I have and they did everything they said they would do. I did the ad for 3 months and filled my order book.
Defo recommend. :)

Ive never heard of someone managing to put up your facebook ads - why would you do that?

I mean sure, it requires some level of understanding to upload an ad, but its possible to learn all of it in a days study - and the rest comes with experience and split testing the ads.

Plus with hiring someone to do it - you will only get results - not the historical data of what ad image works, what facebook groups worked, what specifics worked - all that is lost - unless they actually provide you with these details?

Devon at the moment.
If you start typing in a company name and it suggests the search results for top spot marketing scam it says it all.

It's a very easy job to do so don't pay anyone to do it.

Bain of my life these flash in the pan tin pot internet marketing companies who are basically a team of telesales people.

I believe scam is auto-generated there. Doesn't mean thats a top search.
