Any tips for streamlining our dispatch processes?

Everything on ebay seems to take forever as its not made for volume sellers.

We currently print on dymo labels and copy/paste the address from the paypal page (as the address in ebay is split into individual boxes that cannot be copied and pasted)

Once printed the label we then go back and mark the item as dispatched.

Rinse and repeat for all orders.

We are tempted to use integrated labels but they seem overly expensive at £30 per thousand compared to our dymo.

Could this be the perfect solution for all eBay business customers?
Now available as a stock item it’s now possible to print on a laser A4 Sheet an eBay payment summary with the “post to” address having a removable address label.
“S13 integrated labels” are the name of the product and available from:
www.cheap-integratedlabels.co.uk/labels/Single-Integrated-Label-S13.asp
you don’t require any additional software; you just print straight off from eBay.
Previously the only two solutions were either an expensive downloadable software package and a yearly charge for the service, or Dymo labels which meant a dual process for full filling the order and for eBay business customers very time consuming as the labels had to be matched to the orders. “S13” Integrated labels from “cheap-integratedlabels.co.uk” eliminates this, as the invoice, picking note or despatch note has an address label processed in a single pass at the click of a button, and the cost is only the price of the paper.
Once you have an item that’s sold on eBay, it goes into....” needs posting” .... Press view order details then on the right hand side they will see highlighted in blue.... “Printer version” ... press this using S13 Integrated label paper and that’s it address label paper in one.

S13 Integrated Labels is new for selling EBay Business users, known also as EBay printer version labels.
No additional software is required! You receive an order, required from "needs posting", press "view order details", then highlighted in blue "printer version" using S13 Integrated label paper the document is printed with the buyers address on a removable label, the remaining sheet has the order details, cost and is used as a receipt.
EBay selling manager pro uses S6 Integrated labels to print an address label and Invoice document on a single laser sheet, through all laser desktop printers.

I use aimco software, free trial, not free but worth every penny, it's two huge advantages are:

1- It downloads all the details and auto formats and resizes the name and address for your labels.
2- It works off many platforms, personally I prefer to download from the paypal site since this only allows orders to be sent once they have been paid for.

There are two versions, labels and invoice, with various add ons. The developer is a top guy, if you hit a problem where the sw needs a patch writing, he normally does this within an hour or two, and this is needed 2-5 times a year since ebay, payal etc. change things quite often.

Once you download and print 20 labels odd a minute, you will never want to go back to copy and pasting ever again, the sw will save you several hours a week minimum.

Another vote for Aimco software. One of our best investments in software.

Copy and pasting is okay in low volumes, but even at 20 a day its tedious. The Aimco software saves time and reduces the chances of errors.

Also, you can export to csv files and do what ever you want with the data - very useful to help with repetitive financial data collection.

You can set up your own templates, add images, whatever you want to each order sheet/delivery sheet/packing sheet.

Just combine it with a laser printer, and they all come flying out, its brilliant. Has been faultless for many thousands of orders for us.

how am i supposed to use it?
and you do not state on your website the position of the s13 label!!??? is that 2.5cm from left too i suspect?!!

I use the S6 labels as well for my ebay and website orders. You just need to adjust the print margin. Assuming you have Selling Manager Pro, go to awaiting postage, select and click on print, then choose ''Address labels and invoice / packing slip''. The address fits at the top right hand corner of teh S6, trial and error to adjust your margins. It's a great time saver, as far as I'm concerned. Also www.cheap-integratedlabels.co.uk/ don't put any advertising on the paper unlike some other companies and they are very helpful. If you sell a lot, then buy the paper in bulk it won't go to waste. There seems to be a problem on the S6 link on their website tonight though :-/

thats realy cool if it works!!!!!! I just did not have a clue if i can adjust the margins on ebay selling manager pro, i think i have tried and i just could not find it!!
Thanks a lot!!!

If you use IE, when you're on the ebay bulk print page, go to file / page setup, margins are top 12, left 18 (that's the most important one, must be 18 minimum), right and bottom 9.

We send between 50 to 100 orders a day, and this invoice paper has made it so much quicker and error free (we also used dymo previously).

Oh man!
I know what i missed now. I use Invoice/Packing slip link to print the invoices, I wanted a solution for that template, as with the other I gotta use more than one sheet of paper for one invoice quite often as my customers buy more then 1 or 2 items so the invoice is gonna be 'long'.
Oh i cant win!!!
Thank a lot anyway!

Maybe i can sort it out 1 day

With invoice/packing slip you only have the address once though, whereas with ''Address labels and invoice / packing slip'' the customer still sees their address on the invoice.

You can get a few items on the invoice. with two item lines for instance, you only have one page. Also if you don't put any footer on the ebay invoice you'll avoid printing 2 pages.
How often do you get more than say 5 item lines?

ok then see it from another angle, how much time would you save by not printing the dymo labels, how much quicker would you pick and pack orders?
If you have many orders you could temporarily switch to the invoice paper for a couple of months, for the sake of wasting one page, you'll save a lot of time! My views anyway. It really made life easier when we switch to invoice paper. A sheet costs me 2.5p when I buy 5,000 S6. Dymo labels might be less a penny each but we're talking efficiencies here.
I don't think I can convince you but if you've got a growing business, practices must evolve.

yeah i get that but Happy2help has a link to his site and an explanation here and it is just not coming 2gether for me,, if U read the posts on this thread U will C what I mean!!!!!

Sorry for the late reply been on holiday. Did you manage to sort your integrated label sheets? If you didnt you can post some samples to cheap integrated labels.co.uk and they will advise what stock labels will suit rather than you perhaps guessing, you can email them or look on their site for the address.

Hi

The most would be the document wallets. Or you could opt for the Integrated label sheets (I think less than 3p sheet) then you would have a tidy solution all in one sheet.

What I'd suggest is have a look over at www.paypal-printmaster.co,uk and download the demo.

It will allow you to pull down your last 100 orders from PayPal as well auto-print your next 25 orders that come in.

Hopefully the demo will give you a good idea of how it works.

Hope that helps

With a bit of deft folding, it should be possible to make the standard Ebay invoice/packing slip fit into a docs enclosed wallet without showing any of the other details. All you need to do then is print out loads of small return address labels to add to the mix.

Of course, all of these solutions rather assume that ebay buyers are capable of typing their own addresses that one time when they set the account up. I still prefer to copy, paste & edit, using sheets of 8 Avery-style labels which includes space for the return address (in light grey, now, ever since the post office delivered an entire bag-full of parcels to us instead of the recipients ). It never ceases to amaze me the number of buyers who think addresses and postcode should be entirely in lower case and postcodes shouldn't have a space in the middle......

Our software auto-formats annoying lower case addresses and postcodes into nice neat addresses. I'm always surprised that people would prefer to "cut and paste" addresses and do a lot of manual stuff. - I think they key point of the software is it's designed for those people selling a lot on eBay and spending hours do that manual crap, and I know a good few.

I do plan to develop a Nochex version and am currently in talks with Nochex about that.

Cheers

Hi,
Related to this post
I want to constantly print off invoices once they are paid for,
i.e. have my printer running 24 hrs a day and whenever an order comes in it automatically prints off the invoice.

I currently use channeladvisor (and I don't think I can do it with this) but I am sure there must be a way to do this straight from eBay?

Thanks
