Hi all,

Just to introduce myself, I'm 20 years old and used to run an ebay business selling various job lots that I picked up off of the internet.

I am currently a construction professional whilst at university part time but I would really like to own my own business as well.

I have had various ideas over the years, but I have come to 1 that I am quite excited about! I have noticed that you can pick up a catering van for approximately £2000.00 with all equipment inside.

I have been exploring the idea of trying to find a pitch and buying a van and effectively 'leasing' the van with the pitch to prospective business owners. I feel that around £200.00 a week (with pitch and insurance) is a far amount since around my area £1000.00 a week takings seem to be commonplace.

Could someone please highlight any problems that I have overlooked when looking through my rose tinted glasses?

Also what are the likely problems that I am going to face? I would quite like to build up an asset, earn a steady amount from a small business idea and make 'my own' money if that makes sense.

Does anyone have any tips when it comes to finding a pitch? And also, where is best to go when creating the contract between myself and tenant.

Feel free to pull my idea apart, I have a problem with having an idea, and getting obsessed with it!

Thanks all

Pie
