Hi
Some general advice if possible.
My parents purchased a timeshare in 1995 at Cal a Mar, Mallorca. Father deceased now 2004 and my mother is becoming unwell/frail now struggling to manage maintenance fees every year of over £500.

She has tried repeatedly to give up the timeshare, tried just to request to give back to Ona grup who are now the company managing the complex. They state they are not the owners and having nothing to do with resignation of timeshare. My mother has letters from Onagrup advising of company takeover. They are not helpful and won't offer a contact for who to contact about this.
She is frightened to stop paying the maintenance fees as is worried about legal repercussions or a bad credit file.

Any advice?

The fees are up to date for now and wont be due til next december 18. I just want to know how to get rid of the time share as i think she will not have capacity soon but now i have some time to sort it out. I thought she had got rid of it years ago but it appears she had been trying and getting nowhere
