I had hopes of a bringing a product to market. I had spent years on and off developing it.
I got so far with the proof of concept worked up to a point. That point being a user interface. So the technology was interesting and novel. However as I got to the point of how this thing would need to be interacted with. A user would want to use a phone or tablet as it seems to be heading in this direction of requiring a phone to interact. My concern is if i deliver the product that has no connection to phone or internet then It cant work because of that expectation. here's an example a product with a similar idea. I had seen it as discontinued and there was a link to this same product. When i clicked the link. It seemed to be exactly the same. Then on close inspection the only difference i could screen was a WI-FI icon. Demands told this supplier this feature was needed.
Trying to implement WIFI hardware and firmware is a very difficult task. Then comes the software for the User interface. Way too much. So i think I am going to drop the idea all together and look for something other than going down this road of a tech business. So I am going to look at something more therapeutic on the mind. Something less taxing. It was a good learning experience. I learned something and i have spent a lot of time trying to understand marketing. Not just that bringing hardware to the market is very costly and takes a lot of effort.
With technology you have to work smart not too hard be resourceful and creative don't try and do it all yourself. Technology moves at such a fast pace it's difficult for one person to do it all. This is some of what i took from experience.
