It's been a very, very long time since being gay was accepted as being a disorder. Quite frankly, being gay is "normal", it's found amongst various animals in nature including bonobo chimps (they're famous for it!

) and to suppress a type of sexuality as wrong or a mental disorder is to suppress normality itself.
I'm not having children, but if I did, I'd expect them to be raised to accept that people are different in all apsects of life, including sexuality, and to not try to hurt, ridicule or suppress something just because they didn't think it was morally correct.
Why would you not wish your children to have sex education, including teachings about homosexuality, at school? Would you rather they remained ignorant of sex, and its consequences, for as long as possible, despite what their raging teenage hormaones may be demanding in a few years' time? I don't think these classes promote homosexuality, they just explain that it exists. Same with RE classes, here's what one religious group are about, here's what another religious group are about, etc.
Reading the article in the opening post, one would assume then that, as there's a "cure" for homosexuality, there must also be a "cure" for heterosexuality, assuming that sexuality is something that can be changed to fit in with a groups' preferences - will we see gays and lesbians trying to convert us boring straight people then?
