Thousands of backlinks for $5

Been pointed in the direction of these $5 sites with offers to create backlinks, such as http://www.fiverr.com/users/jericower/gigs/create-4000-forum-profile-backlinks. I know it's only $5 but is it a scam?

No its not a scam. They are using Xrumer which can make 100,000s of links per day. Don't use it on your main site, use it on pages where you have a link, this makes your link page stronger and helps your ranking.

I'd save your fiver. Most of the links will be deleted very quickly and any effect will be short lived.

Quick answer - NO, its not a scam as much but if 100 people a day buy their service you can see they make ok money providing rubbish.

Also they will build these 1,000s of links very quickly which is likely to get Googles attention but not for the right reasons.

Quality link building is done over many months, and if you are truly serious about ranking a website then you need to take it seriously and give it time.

Chances are the links will be of little to no value, and are likely to harm your website ranking in the long run. Yes you may get the initial boost (if you are lucky) but Google will spot these links a mile off and will probably ignore the links anyway!

They are never links with any PR. Yes, the main page has PR but your page won't.

What he said. Although it does take more than a few minutes to get the different web 2.0 bits setup if you want them to be half decent

There are programs which automate these as well.

Yeah but like with any Automation it might not be 100%. I would prefer to hand do the web 2.0 bits as it only takes an hour or so once you have the content and some good spinning software.

I wouldn't put money on it. It is how Angela and Paul links work. I guess when you have 50,000 of them it might do something but not as much as say a genuine PR5 homepage link, with your anchor text on a related site.

no doubt they will do that they say - spam forums and so forth, but dont expect it to help you in any way.

I often wonder how these companies get people to buy but I guess it just comes down to people wanting something for nothing. If I were you I would pocket the $5 and get down the pub and buy a pint - then if you really are serious about seo get in touch with a legit seo company and talk strategy over with them. Good seo takes months not days and it also costs a little cash - but if you target the right keywords you get the return, so its good business!

I used some of the less-spammy $5 deals and had none to mild results

It can be done, but the stronger the site the harder it is to achieve.

That's why newer websites trying to get an easy fix from high-volume crap links are especially vulnerable to penalising themselves.

If something sounds too good to be true it is probably is . Xrumer creates a spammy comment in thousand of forums . Some people created benefit from it by asking some questions about "their own service or company"

example: Xrumer will be used to spam thousand of forums with a question

"Hi , I am new to this forum . I want to know more about "Product X" or "service Y" . I searched but cant find their home page . Could you please help?


When usually these kind of question pop up . Someone will find the website address and post it . And there will a be a discussion about that product or service . And that means a backlink from a page which contains the targeted keywords and also unique content


NOTE:but the thing is ,now everyone knows if a new user pop up with this kind a question,its a spam . So wont work like the way it worked in the past .

I have also heard about Xrumer and i agree with you RadiusBPO, using Xrumer on your main site can be considered as spamming , so its better to use it on a page where you have placed link of your main site.

Apart from getting what you pay for. People generally see SEO as something they can do. And then wonder how to get the high PR back links.

And so take the cheaper option!! Or what is seen as a cheaper options.

I can see some benefit for using it to boost an article. But eventually you would get found out. Then see a huge drop in ranking.

The problem then for a e-commerce site is that the effect could have a huge impact on your turnover!! Which is not a good thing!!

in my opinion,even though it is true,but i think these thousands of backlinks won't improve the page rank of the site well.maybe a lot of them are not relevant.maybe it will be considered as spamming links in google eys coz it is increasing so much in a short time.

Thematic links count more, especially if from authoritive sites.

Mega blats of link creation can only help so far...if at all!!!

If someone is willing to charge only '$1' to create these links as long as they can prove where they come from, then who are we to say they can't do it!!
