This is probably too simple for this section...

...but I thought I would post here anyway, as it is to do with my website.

I am itching to change it.

I know the content needs changing, but I am thinking more along the lines of changing the whole concept of how to find out about services that I offer etc.

My question is, am I right to keep changing it until it feels 'right' or should I just wait, until I have everything written down first, and when it's done, just leave it well alone?

I know that I have to leave it for a certain amount of time for the search engines to find me, but to be honest, I am not relying on search engine listings for my business, so I am not too concerned about that at this moment in time.

I'm not asking for reviews of my site though, trust me, I know the content at the very least needs changing!

Any thoughts would be great - thanks in advance.

Vick :)

I have a website for informative purposes, and to be honest a lot comes equally from UKBF and local sources.

Don't get me wrong I would like to work on that in the future, I'm not blind to the fact it'll bring in more customers.

I simply though don't have the capacity to deal with a sudden influx of customers, I am a one woman operation, and enjoy being that way right now, I have plans to expand but not yet.

It is purely information to be honest.

I'd say you can let the site evolve... Often you have to make changes to see where you want to take the site, i.e you can't always plan the whole project in advance.

Create a Wordpress based site that is really quick to set up and very lets you tinker and evolve it without too much effort.

My thoughts is that no professional should use a 'free' website maker that puts an awful link on your site telling all your customers you're a cheap skate. Hire a website designer and get them to throw you some mockups together to see what inspires you and have them implement an easy WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor for the site.

You don't have to take my advice, but there are professional website designers who are hired to think about what you're thinking about every single day. So although you may be a creative person, they're going to give you some great ideas.

Also a website designer would most likely use the same meta information, meaning your website wouldn't be touched that much by changes.

Hope I could help.
