If you do go through with it (or anyone else with a coffee shop for that matter) can you please stock a variety of teas?
Not every one wants a coffee and there must be some good mark up on a pot of Earl Grey at £1.70 (Costa's price). BUT offer some Lady Grey/Assam/Darjeeling along side it. I am usually restricted to just 'Tea' or if I'm lucky Earl Grey.
And a loyalty card is a must.
And I agree about local Art. I'd even go as far as to commision a local photographer to get you some nice pictures of the local area. It keeps people interested and if you're in a tourist town, they will love it. Local Streetscapes, Rivers, Churches, snowy scenes, nice bridges you know the thing.
