I got banned from temporarily making any more twitter search's after trying to add everyone in this thread.

For future reference, I would stop around the end of page 5, and start again the following day if you intend to try to add everyone who has contributed.

Saves the twits getting antsy with you.

Twitter is a microblogging site. You post short (140 character) updates about anything and can include links. It's the web equivalent of being at a huge party and you can just chat, network and share information.

There's a post on my blog about using Twitter for business (apologies for the blatent plug but this is why my blog exists) and feel free to take a look at my Twitter profile for a bit of an insight.
