As a single mum I worry about getting tradesmen in. This will sound stupid to some people, indeed it sounds stupid to me. I'm ex Army, I run two businesses and like to think of myself as a fairly strong character but for some reason being shut in the house with a man that I've never met before is a worrying prospect.

I agree, I am 6', have 4 bro's so know how to look after myself and yet I still got in an awkward situation with a Sky repair man, he was about 6'4 and proceeded to tell me how he had returned home early the night before and found his wife and their labrador in a compromising position and now he was looking for a good lawyer

To say I was uncomfortable is an understatement andI phoned Sky and told them I never wanted him in my house again, just one example of how women will talk about both good and bad tradesmen to their friends.

Dont want to be too negative Dave, but if the first 30 seconds of research was spent looking at the date of the last post you would have seen it was 2009... saving you the two hours.

humor and the internet dont do very well sadly i will take back what i said as i thought it was aimed in a sarcastic manner. i was aware it was an old thread but it had some relevance to what i was working on at the time and i know its bad etiquette to go digging up old threads so lets let it die and slip back into the depths of the internet shall we
