What will be the next big trend in social media marketing in 2011?
Do you think the current social media marketing tools and networks, like Facebook and Twitter, will continue having most of the power, or are there up-and-coming tools that will start to take over this year? How do you think social media marketing will evolve over 2011?

I think Facebook and Twitter are the ones now - I dont think anyone will match them. They are both similar but the same and I wouldnt know who else could bring something different to the table.

Definitely, facebook and twitter will stay for long. As to the question of whether a new one will emerge, well, they must get the brilliant minds behind Google, Facebook and Twitter and combine them to create a much powerful social media tool.

As for next big trends - location based services, particularly Foursquare will be big.

Not sure about business pages or how to do it even for personal ones but I thought there was a way of doing it so Twitter posts are displayed on Facebook?

You can do it by using a third party tool like Tweetdeck or Hootsuite

I'm expecting a massive increase in Shopping on Facebook. With companies using their facebook pages to host shopping carts on them.

I also think Twitter and Facebook are unbeatable. Until Facebook buys out Twitter that is.

To a partyshop you can updated automatically with a post from your Facebook business page by using Ping fm as well. It is totally free.

Yesterday on twitter I see a good post ;

"Recruiters use LinkedIn to find candidates, Facebook to eliminate them and Twitter to post jobs"

I'll second something like groupon. It won't necessarily be groupon but something similar that conforms to the 'social buying' model.

Yes it is possible to update your Twitter via your Facebook updates and vice versa (via hootsuite and social oomph) however I would strongly discourage you from doing this.
Many people do this however it is frustrating for any followers who follow you on both platforms to receive identical messages.
If you struggle for time I would recommend rotating your posts between the two to ensure variety.
