Hi
I have 2 invoices for goods paid from a company account. The name on the invoice is the director of the company, not the company itself. Unfortunately, there is no way to request a change to the invoice. How problematic is this for reporting to HMRC? I am not claiming a tax refund, the company is currently less than 15,000 pounds. I would be very glad to receive any answer.

Thank you

If the goods are for the business then you can claim them. It is not ideal, if there is an investigation there will be more discourse with HMRC than strictly necessary.

What are the invoices for, how much are they for and why are they in your name and not the company name?

These are two different bills, both under £100, two different examples were purchased for future sale. It so happened that the order was made from the wrong account on the seller’s website. We noticed this only now and the question is how to correctly indicate this in the table.

They assure me that it can be indicated as an expense, but I doubt this is true given the fact that the invoice is in the name of the director and not the company.

It's not an issue. Employees buy things all the time for company use and get reimbursed. As they say, enter it as an expense for the named person and repay the person (the person named will need to actually pay the invoice). You can use their credit cards statement, e.g., for proof that they incurred the expense.
