The East Midlands Exists!

I would just like to thank the admins of UKBF for recognising that there is an East Midlands and West Midlands, and not just the 'Midlands'.

With Birmingham, Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Lincoln, etc, it is a large enough region to split so well done for not ignoring us !

It's a shame since Central News changed and now covers the Midlands as a whole. Before the East and West both had news that was relevant to their area, now it seems very general.

I'm actually quite pleased with this, as we are on the border of East and West and are interested what happens across the whole region.

I wish more sites would acknowledge 'East' Midlands as an area. I am way out in the East (near the Coastal area of Lincolnshire) and to be categorised as 'North England' or 'Midlands' or simply 'North of Watford' etc., makes it a tad annoying.

I definately agree that we shouldn't be lumped in with the West Midlands, but do we really have a clear regional identity?

i think this forum could be very useful for east midlands businesses. not sure there is anything similar around, certainly havent come across a business forum for the east midlands before.
