What is the best seo resource for baiting links? Is it still articles? Is there something more I can do?

Here is what I normally use as resources. Perhaps you can highlight 1 or add to it.

articles,
news,
helpful advice,
company history,
faq's,
production process explanations,
learning tools,
lesson plans,
prizes,
white papers,
site recommendations,
company concerns,
book reviews,
press releases,
podcasts,
surveys/polls,
link baits,
videos,
discussions,
search engine recommendations,
local area guides,
employee stories,
social apps,
old adverts,
product images,
quizzes,
employee involvement MD's blog.
social profiling,
online guides,
certificates,
awards,
meetups/activities,
and associations/societies.

Whilst you've pretty much covered everything, I feel the best methods of link baiting can be your networking capabilities. A bit of recognition from a reputable/authoritative individual/source can certainly get your content more exposure.

It's worth monitoring trends and new topics/news, talk about something that is trending and what people are talking about / wanting to know about. Even if this is a top ten list or best tools/apps to do something, everyone likes a list or a good review.
