I feel sometimes people are too quick to write letters of complaint so I want to write a letter of praise, unfortunately writing is not my forte...

I would like to write a letter to a heating company and compliment how their engineers were helpful, friendly, professional and knew exactly what they doing.

How would you as a business like to read a letter like this about your staff? Any ideas how to begin writing a letter like this.:D

Dear Mr(s) ...

Your firm recently (installed new radiators in my house) and I am writing to praise the engineers who did the job, (Fred and Joe). They were helpful, friendly and very professional and I had complete confidence in their competence and judgement. Please pass on my thanks to the engineers concerned.

Yours sincerely

Replace the words in brackets by whatever the job was and the real names if you know them. Remove the brackets before sending the letter. It's only a simple letter, not at all gushing, but sounds genuine and will be appreciated, I'm sure.

Your letter does not have to be some great literary masterpiece and will be appreciated however it is worded!

Think about the ideal testimonial you would like to show to your customers.

Write about all the good things they did - were they punctual? Tidy? Friendly? Have you "bigged them up" on any UK business forums? Have you recommended them to your friends?

If you email them they can copy and paste it onto their website. If you also send by post they can stick it on the wall and show anyone who comes into their showroom (if they have one).
