I have just started a new #Smallbizblog (you can find it on twitter with that hashtag).

I am looking to provide to some extent a free resource for small business owners to obtain news, advice and guidance on a wide range of things affecting small businesses today.

What I am looking to do is design worksheets or templates that you could use in your business.

Could you tell me which ones maybe most useful in your business and then I could maybe put it on the blog along with a brief description on how to use it.

I have already designed a Cashing-Up worksheet for businesses with tills/cash registers and a brief explanation of change floats.

I thought I would do some market research here as to which ones would be most useful.

Thanks in advance

Remote Resources

A basic accounts spreadsheet and P&L would be useful - I have heard many small businesses asking for these, although with cloud accounting starting to take off, maybe the old ways are going out of fashion.

Business plans, partnership agreements, sales letters...

Worksheets for health and safety checks, task lists for functions etc..

Thanks for your feedback Remote Resources.

I have already designed a Bookkeeping and P/L working template that I will put up next week for anyone who is interested.

Business Plan is a good idea, I will have a think about the best way to set it out for editing.

Milage/Travel Expenses Logs will be up soon too.

We post many fact sheets and information for our clients, we have recently made one for butchers in the horse meat scandal take a look vivid-businesscom/butchers-factsheet.pdf (add dot at com lol)

In regards to accounting we work with many clients who often don't have any book keeping systems (receipts in a shoe box and invoices in a file!) if your lucky an excel spread sheet template would be very useful!

Contact me should you require any more info

Hope that has been helpful

Hi OP,

I'm doing a very similar thing which I have just recently started but it is more for a specialist business sector...

Quality, Environmental & Health and Safety

a.k.a ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001

www[dot]plusforms[dot]com
*Note: still in progress of adding more forms.

Let me know if I can be of any help.
Would be happy to bounce ideas around.

Regards, Charlie
