Hi all !
I am new to this , but here we go !

I have been in sales & business development for most of my career & have worked very successfully always achieving /exceeding targets .
I have remained in each role for multiple years ( not a flitter ) but personal circumstances have made me take a look at my life & consider the next step !
I would like very much to work for myself from home , I am extremely confident in my ability & have a good track record but I am very unsure where to start.
How can I find campaigns ? Data ?
Can I REALISTICALLY earn a salary ?
I am very hard working & motivated & want to succeed! Any advice very gratefully received .

Find software development companies that have a DEMO as one of the key steps in their sales process. If you're able to cold call companies and arrange demo's, with those converting at a reasonable rate, such that your cost is a fraction of the ROI from those conversions, then there are literally thousands of companies that'll bite your arm off to send leads their way.

Most telemarketers are either going to fail to deliver demos or they're going to be from irrelevant audiences that have no intention of ever buying anything or people who said yes, just to get you off the phone but then won't show up for the online demo/screen sharing session.

Getting to know a solution well enough that you can touch upon pain points most likely found in a manager's life, or able to put together teaser copy well enough that the person you're calling just has to learn more - that's the measure of your ability to earn a living.

Just about anyone can smile and dial, but it's the salespeople who churn and burn a good living out of it that are able to target the right people, deliver a great/short pitch and turn it into an appointment that can convert at a decent rate.

If you've got an easily understood, British-native-accent voice and are looking for a gig that's commission only - I bet you'll find a ton of people (like me) on UKBF that would give you a go.

When I first read your post, I was under the impression that you're looking to start your own telemarketing agency. But, after rereading the entire thing I got your point. You're trying to pursue remote telemarketing or freelance telemarketing. Honestly, I was going to recommend the CRM, phone system, and the CTI software (Tenfold) that we use so you could get started.

Good thing, I decided to read it again. lol

Since you're interested in the freelancing business, here are the sites you may want to check out:
Upwork - there's an abundance of telemarketing jobs that hire freelancers worldwide.
People Per Hour - not entirely sure if they hire telemarketers from UK, but they're worth your time.
Freelancer.com - a freelance platform similar to Upwork

The advantage of working remotely is you can get as many full-time jobs as you like or you can take numerous part-time jobs that suit your fancy. Hope you try these sites out. I'm not affiliated with any of the sites mentioned above, but I've been able to hire different freelancers from these platforms. Good luck!

Hi Nikki79
I have no doubt you would have enough work in your words 'to earn a realistic salary' I know someone who has a waiting list. He works in three hour shifts (2 per day) and restricts his earnings to just under the higher earnings tax bracket. He is supplied the data
If you would like further info I am happy to help as well as use your services...

Hey,

I'm actually looking into finding a good salesperson (phone cold calling preferable) for my company. Your post sounds like you're a driven person, so I would be happy to have a chat with you about what we are looking for.

1. Work from home
2. Generous commissions
3. Flexible hours

Any questions I'm here to help :)
