Telemarketing - pitfalls ?

Hi there, I've been a member of the board for a couple of years but haven't posted much recently - I was made redundant last week and am considering setting up in one of a couple of ventures I have in mind. I wondered if anyone can give guidance on what to watch out for when considering telemarketers as this would be an essential part of my project.

Just wondered what people who've used this type of business would be the pitfalls and how to spot good and bad practice - recommendations would also be really useful. I would plan to be based in Leeds and work in the Yorkshire area predominantly to start with.
