Tax Return

I have done that locally but extortionate charge for what would be roughly 1hr of filing.
So why don't you do it?

What is their extortionate charge?

Please remember, you are not paying for 1 hour of work......

looking for an accountant for tax return Bristol area

Horace as you've mentioned Bristol I am assuming you want a more traditional accountant you can go and see rather than an online only firm. If so I know several accountants in the area and am very happy to recommend one. What sort of business do you have (I only ask as some accountants specialise in dealing with certain clients) and do you have any specific requirements?

Thanks anyway

I've just read the other posts on this thread - if I could do all that's required, even for small company with a handful of transactions each year, in one hour I've have retired long ago. It takes much more than an hour to do all that's required.

As DWS mentioned before an accountant can even act for a client we have to undertake an ID check, Money Laundering checks and issue a letter of engagement and get it signed - if I can do all that before even starting on any work in an hour I'm lucky!

Apologies I hadn't meant to insult anyone here. I had used a local accountant previously but didn't work out.
I do appreciate all that these professionals have trained for and the services that they provide.
I would prefer to keep to local traditional businesses and hoped that I could find one using this forum.

No offence taken at all.

I think many people understandably don’t appreciate the amount of work required.

I know several accountants in the Bristol area and very happy to recommend someone if you can let me know what your business is and if you have any specific requirements.

From this and your previous posts it does sound to me like your expectations are unreasonable and you might turn out to be a "nightmare client", especially as you seem to think several accountants are extortionate and it's only an hour's work despite not knowing what's involved.

Perhaps try to see their point of view a little more.

    Paul.
