I'm using Xero for payroll, and I told Zero previously that this employee is no longer working for me. They don't show up in the list of current employees.
However, they show up in the list of employees to pay this month and are due a tax refund with zero hours. I will of course give them the refund, but I don't know if that's right. I was hoping Zero would tell HMRC that the employee is no longer working for me, therefore no tax refund.
Should I just process the employee as normal, and give them the refund? Will Xero update the next payroll?
Thank you.
