Hi
I am trying to start up a business but could do with a break of paying myself the minimum possible for a year while I get the business growing before I start paying tax. Does anyone know the threshold I can pay myself before paying tax?

You will only pay yourself a salary if you are trading as a company.

If you are just a self employed sole trader then all your business profits are your income and will be taxable through the income tax regime.

You will find lots of useful start-up advice on our my website and let me know if you want any other start-up help:
