1. What are the options for tax efficient investment outside ISA?

2. I read somewhere that there are some eligible bonds that their coupon is tax free and supposedly the capital gain is also tax free. Where can I find this list please?

3. Regarding buying bonds from the market, is there a comparison table of the feesss across banks in the UK? Alternatively are there any brokers that are reliable in terms of the security of the bond titles held?

Thank you!

A small point, but I am a pedant. It sounds to me as if you are saving, not investing. Investing involves you supporting a business in the hope of a return for your suport and risking receiving nothing back. Saving involves putting money somewhere, in the hope that, when you get it back, it is worth more than when you saved it.

Then it is probably about saving, thank you.

Gilts (UK Government) & Corporate Bonds are CGT free not sure about the Coupon but I suspect would be subject to income tax.

Corporate bonds bought directly from the issuer and issued in pounds are also not subject to capital gains tax, so long as they are deemed “qualifying corporate bonds” by HMRC.

    Convertible Bonds are non Qualifying.
