It's expensive. Check with your bank first, RBS charge 50p per item collected, and 50p per change so if the amounts are variable then its £1 per payment per month.

If it's subscriptions etc, then try the credit card companies for continuous authority payments.

I'd maybe look at making bank transfers/bacs easy. With faster payments bank transfers are now made immediately, and on most small business tarrifs a lot cheaper than cheques etc.

Any pointers on integrating the bacs. The website looks complicated and messy.


With BACS the customer must initiate the payment, and set it up etc. All you can do is provide all of your information in a clear manner that will help them set it up ASAP.

Worldpay do futurepay, this may help. Other CC procesors have similar continuous authority options.
