Taking Card Payments - Quick Solution?

I have recently taken over the assets of a company, and need to take card payments as quickly as possible.

I plan to arrange a merchant account etc, but there are a few complications (concern over money being taken in advance etc) and there's always quite a slow turnaround on these things.

Any recommendations for quick solutions? Obviously there's PayPal, but I'm not sure if that's right for us.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

If there are "concerns" then most providers are going to do a reasonably thorough job on the credit review. If I were you I would work closely with one provider, get all the information assembled on the business quickly, and try to get them comfortable with the business as quickly as possible. Stay on top of them - get them to do a pre-vet so you are not wasting time with a full application. You should be able to get a. Good indication within the week.

Hi Linden

Really need to know more about what your business will be selling ?

Products or services, B2B or B2C

Average transaction value, how much would you be processing a month ?

This will help me better understand what Risk Category you would fall into and then we can advise what information you would need to provide in support of any application you might want to submit to a Provider..

Re timescales, assuming we have all the info we need, our SLA is a decision within 72 hours of submission to the Bank, and we can then get your account payment gateway live within 24hours. Something which is to be fair unique to us currently.

If you don't mind posting re my points then I and or other members will be able to provide you some more guidance.

Kind regards

Mark
