Have they told you that they are holding your funds, and if so they should have communicated with you why ? Have you breached your trading agreement with them at all ?

What are the settlement terms in your agreement, most of these type of solutions normally operate 5 - 7 working days AFTER transaction approval so effectively if you took a payment on a Monday it would be cleared funds up to 7 working days later e.g. the following Tuesday.

No I havn't breached my trading agreement with them, and I became aware that they were investigating the only payment I had made via the system from an email the following day the payment was processed. It stated that all settlements maybe suspended, clearly I then contacted them to ascertain why. Settlement is usually 2 - 6 days but no time frame was given as to when the transaction would be settled.

However I have just received a phone call from Marco (from Sumup) who stated that they mistook my business model for another type of business but now they have investigated and spoken to me they are going to process all payments as normal.
Had they taken the time to speak with me upon receiving the evidence I supplied to support the sale in question the issue would have been tidied up in no time -

I am glad you managed to get the issue resolved so quickly, and it does seem that Sum Up need to clean up their monitoring processes for their Merchants.

Sumup at it again - processed 4 payments over a week ago and despite Sumup confirming payments processed successfully and having sent me the payout email the payments are yet to appear in my bank account. I'm really thinking now that sumup are not fit for purpose. As usual when you try to contact them they are either closed or do not answer the phone. Given the cost of using sumup is proving to be more hassle than benefit

Hello guys, I just bought a SumUp Card reader and been using it for months now. I was a bit disappointed on what you’ve experienced Darren and I hope that I won’t experience the same. I thought it was a great deal because the card reader is cheaper than iZettle. My friend told me that he purchased his purchased the izettle card reader for £99. I got mine for only £20. They also said on their website that they have superb customer service but 2 - 6 days of resolution, I don’t think so.

@CavinFlores the last post was Oct 2015 so I am not sure the OP will see this. Perhaps he has moved onto another system by now given the bad experience.
