Successful web/graphic design agency needs very small loan

Good Afternoon,

I have a part time Yorkshire/UK web/graphic design business on the go. I have completed quite a few websites and done quite a lot of graphic work. I also have many sites on the way. The business model is very healthy and organic. i have no debts and want to keep things simple.

However, I am desperate for a small £1500 loan (approx. $2000). I have had no luck with any banks as the figures are too small for them. The loan is to upgrade my hardware/software - i'm really pushing my luck with what i've got now. My work is very modern and future proof so i need to keep with the times!

Would anyone be interested in providing a short term loan for this amount. Buiness plans and legal agreements can be put into place for security.

The loan can either be on a partnership type affair or can be paid back with ease over 3 - 6 months with healthy interest. Or i can provide some sort of a deal on some website/graphic design work for the money - giving a very good deal of course.

This is a genuine request and this would massively benefit any investor as well as myself.

look at zopa, however if you have web sites on the go I would expect you to be able to raise £1500, (although its a little odd you have added a dollar equivalent)

For that sort of amount, you may be better asking your bank for an overdraft or putting it on your credit card, if you are confident you can repay in 3 - 6 months.

Thanks for the replies guys. Unfortunately i cancelled my overdraft/credit cards in a bid to get debt free. The banks are being very funny at the minute.

Also, i haven't been blessed with wealthy friends/family so that angle can't be persued either.

I'll keep plugging away.

If you...

have many sites on the way.

... then you should take copies of the contracts with you to the Bank and request a short term overdraft. They should provide this based on the strength of the orders. They will probably require security.

Just seen that you've cancelled your last overdraft.

So, get a new Credit Card on one of those 0% rates for the first 9 months, or whatever. You should have it paid off in full before the interest rate kicks in

I haven't designed or worked on anything like porn sites i must admit. I'm guessing that they are pretty straight forward though. I'm not convinced that i'd be happy to show it off on my portfolio however!

Is it really essential that your software is upgraded before you can pay for it? Surely 6 months won't make too much of a difference unless you're really using something out of the ark?

I really wouldn't advise giving shares away in your venture for the sake of something you could pay for in such a short time anyway, then neither would I advise anyone to hand over £1,500 for someone they know nothing about. (Sorry)

Agreed, In your title it mentions that you are a successful business which means you must be reaping profit in? if you are then the services you are offering are in demand. Continue to offer your services and set money aside is what i would do, Or follow other peoples advice and get a credit card its only £1500.
