Submitting automatic RTI

Hello,
My accountant recommended we set up a payroll as the sole employee. I'm very new to this, and looking to understand more about what this entails.

Upon advise from forums and websites, I've decided to run with BrightPay. Understanding the consequences of late submissions, as I have a fixed salary, is it possible to set up automatic RTI submissions to HMRC with this or any other software platform?

Any other advise through experience is welcomed.

As far as I'm aware, you can setup an Annual Scheme for PAYE with HMRC for RTI Reporting.

If you're paying yourself a fixed salary per year, then this works really well. If you do take any new employees on that you can need to change it.

Give HMRC's Employer Helpline a call and confirm they're happy for you to do this.

Out of curiosity, are you paying yourself more than £112 per week? If not, then you may not need to both filing at all.

Thank you for the replies.
My concern is that I'll forget to send the RTI. I'm trialling some alarm software's which remind me with a snooze function :)
I'm interested in the Annual Scheme. My weekly pay for 2016/17 is £155.00 (£8060.00) gross.
I've fired an email to my accountant to see if this applies to my position first, and then I think I'll give the helpline a call.
