Dual layer?

Potentially up to 8.5gb. Needs a suitable DVD burner to burn them though

EDIT: OR, blu-ray, of course, they do up to about 25gb! Need a blu-ray burner to burn them though, and they're not that cheap :)

There are four kinds of DVD with different capacities.
The capacity of a standard DVD can be increased by using duel layer disks which burn 2 'tracks' on a side , or by using double sided disks which burn 'tracks' on both sides.

DVD-5 1 side / 1 layer capacity 4.7GB
DVD-9 1 side / 2 (duel)layers capacity 8.54GB
DVD-10 2 sides/ 1 layer capacity 9.4GB
DVD-18 2 sides / 2 (duel)layers capacity 17.08GB

The DVD-5,DVD-9,DVD-10, DVD-18 etc is the recognised identification standard for the disks.
You'll have to make sure your DVD writer/ software has these options available.
