strapping machine

I face a bit of a problem opening up boxes of stock before sending out.

Goods are stored in storage containers and we dont have power down there.

Can we get powerless strapping kits etc?

Basically the boxes are taped and strapped at present but I dont want to have to re-tape them all just simply strap them back up!

I used a hand held manual strapping kit when I need to use it on large boxes etc. It doesn't require power, and can be used to do boxes of any size... but it is quite time consuming... I prefer to just tape boxes up 99% of the time unless they're really big (I find straps can cause more problems than good as the couriers use them as handles to carry the parcels)

many thanks yes our boxes are quite heavy and I know the straps will be used as handles.

I just need something thats not going to snap! weight is approx 25kg

We use a plastic banding kit to strap stuff to pallets, whilst you shouldn't, they are strong enough to use as handles for something as light as 25kg.

why shouldnt they be used as handles

Doing damage to the box is a concern at the moment!
