storing clothes - online store

Hi

would you agree the best way to store clothes for an online store is in plastic container boxes? this would be to prevent dust/dirt damaging the clothes & for efficiency to quickly access items for packing.

If they are small items then yes or if larger and hangable then hang them with plastic covers so no dust settles on the products.

the best way to store clothes (or anything) is any way that provides easy access and storage, the rest is upto you, if its there long enough to get dusty your doing something wrong.

You may also use space bags, which were advertised on TV for many years

If we assume that you mean full garments as opposed to small (underwear type) garments, then I would say hanging with plastic or other cover over them. You need to protect from dust and light. Storing them in plastic boxes will crease them. It's not a good idea to iron garments immediatley before packing them for despatch as the fabric needs a couple of hours to cool otherwise it will crease even more badly. You won't be wanting to iron before despatch anyway.

Of course it depends on the garment, fabric and storage time. But remember that the nicer something looks when it arrives at the customer, the less chance there is that they will return it.
