Stepped down as director - self assessment

Hello, hope this is the right forum for this query.

A few months ago the company I was a director and shareholder of was bought, and I resigned as director and sold my shares, so now I'm a standard employee.

For years I have done self assessment forms, is there a way I can let HMRC know my tax affairs are very simple now and stop doing them?

I realise it's pretty unlikely - in which case is there anything else I need to do to let them know other than just fill in this year's form? The correct forms were completed and sent to companies house so that's all up to date now.

many thanks

They may stop sending them if you ask, alternatively they do tend to stop sending them once they realise someone no longer has any Self Assessment tax to pay.
