Statistics? How many people buy using mobile/tablet

Does anyone, per chance, have statistics on sales made as a percentage, using mobile devices, including tablets and phones.

In other words, I love to browse the web using a mobile device (phone) but I do not like shopping using one. I much rather prefer to shop using a desktop with full size browser.

Most of us browse using a phone or tablet. But do buyers prefer to use desktops/laptops.

Does anyone have stats, on browsers by device, vs purchasers by device?

I realise its a question im unlikely to have answered, but thank you in advance for any comments, links, stats or information you have available.

My particular sales stats show:

23.4% - Chrome
22.6% - IE
21.2% - Mobile
13.8% - Ipad
8% - Firefox

and the rest "others"

Might I also ask what the product is, and whether the website is UK based with a UK clientele?

I don't have purchase v. browser statistics but don't have any reason to believe they are different as our site is optimised for mobile devices and works really well on them.

We have about 52% using mobile devices.

Of those, the useage is as follows:
45% Ipad
27% Iphone
28% 408 other types of mobile devices but in much smaller numbers than the Ipad and Iphone (most popular are Samsung Galaxy II and II, Ipod, Kindle Fire and Samsung Galaxy Tablets

It is a UK site and customer demographic is:
80% UK
4% US
16% 168 other countries in smaller numbers

I think the stats would depend a lot on what you are selling and how easy it is to confine your products, features and options into the different size screens.

I think in general most people will follow your example. My stats show 30% browsing with devices but very few sales.

Could be this is because my site is not built for view in a 3-4 cm window. But I don't think so, my items sell on condition as most are second-hand.

I also have a feeling that pandering to these people will only result in more returns if the acutlly don't view the items in great detail.

Suppose it really boils down to what you sell and if most of those people's only access to the internet is from their phone.

One of our Magento (responsive) UK sites, last 30 days, approx % split of transactions:-

50% - desktop
30% - mobile
20% - tablet
