Startup ideas directory project

Hello I am working for a client who started a website with startup ideas directory called ideas-reaction . Here people can post startup project ideas, get or give feedback on them, write articles. Users can vote on ideas or give positive values on comments or forum posts. Idea and contributor with most votes are presented on home page as monthly winners. When site start earning from advertising it will share profit with winners. Now we have about 70 UVPD so it is early for advertising. We are trying to find a way to attract people so they can be motivated to register and write startup ideas comment and vote.

Also critical suggestions will be welcome.

Your client needs to go back to the marketing plan they developed as part of their business plan to look at what marketing, advertising and PR opportunities they identified as being appropriate to engage their target audience.

If you let us know more about the demographic profile of your 'clients' target audience and what sort of marketing activities have already been planned we might be able to make some suggestions.

Good idea, but what is to stop someone ripping off the good ideas and just taking them when they are at a really early stage.
I really like the website as a concept.
Maybe hook up with one of the funding websites, so that you can send the winners over to them and get a commission from them.
I would love to write an article if that is any good for you.

Well idea is that directory is open and everybody can get access to startups and yes anyone can took it. It is based on small business ideas and very often home business ideas.

Including investors can be very interesting so it can become site for connecting entrepreneurs and investors. Of course investors will have purpose for ideas which need big amount for investment.

Anyway building community can be very hard. Do anybody have experience in this? What are the best ways for getting people (advertising, SEO ...)?

your idea seems great, but it need some serious planning & hard work as well as smart work . Try to bring complete picture of your business first like what exactly you want , how much it would be beneficial in all aspects . Then go for kill.best of luck from India.
