Startup financial projections template

Hiya,

I've Googled dozens, but can anyone recommended their favourite startup financial projections template (presumably Excel)?

My business setup will be pretty simple:

- no staff
- no physical location
- almost no tangible assets
- I already have start-up capital so no loan required

My main expenses I need to track will be:

- capital
- Ltd company set-up costs
- accountant fees
- bank fees
- taxes
- website costs
- online marketing costs
- bond (I'm setting up a travel business)
- annual trade association membership fees
- insurance costs
- merchant fees
- payment to supplier of travel packages (just one)

Income

- income from clients for travel packages

I'm sure I'll think of others as I get going but it's going to be a pretty simple set-up. Basically I'm setting up a UK Ltd company to act as an online tour operator selling non-flight travel packages. My already-running Japanese travel agency will be sole supplier of those packages.

Thanks.

Thanks. I never heard about British Library Business start-up section so I'll check it out.

Anyway, since this thread started I found some online accountants (on peopleperhour and freelancer.com) who can do it for £50. I'm so crap at excel and so busy with my existing business I decided it's better to get a pro. Thanks for following up anyway.

I can't post links but if you google "equidam financial projections template" you'll find the best template I found online ....

What doesn't make sense is why you would pay someone when you already have operational companies and can you can copy the template of pre-existing accounts.

The main reason is that my accounts for my existing company are all in japanese and done by somebody else . Anyway, even if they were in english the income and expense classifications are different so i couldn't just use the same templates.

The way I see it, if I value my time at around £25 per hour it would definitely take me more than 2 hours fiddling around with excel cells and formulas and therefore better I pay someone 2 hours worth of my work and focus my energies on things like marketing and customer service. I get everyone does it her own way.
