Starting up a shoe shop

Who has started a shoe shop for ladies only ?
I need some advice please on how to start up a shoe shop for ladies .....what brands are best for comfort and affordability.....how many different brand would you stock?
My customers are mainly mature so comfort is a must and casual but also need a dressier footwear to wear for nights out .
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you

I hope you have a bit of understanding of branding before you start your own ladies shoe shop,
unless in your area there is a deficit of ladies shoes.
You would also need to have a plan whether you want luxury brands or average not very famous shoe brands. Once you have your vision about shoe shop you can start thinking about brands. I would do the research myself within your area, let's say question up to 1000 women if you can - ask them what they like and what they would appreciate - believe me, you won't miss and you will hit lots of different thoughts and ideas. Then you can start approaching brands etc.. but before that have a plan which will work - Business sometimes it's not just oh I want this - unless its deficit.
