One of my business ideas was to start my own clothing brand. Without giving away too much about what makes it unique, I need to find suppliers that offer good quality material and very flexible in design (Colours, material, print, shape sleeves, pockets etc etc).

I also need to find a good supplier for long socks (like football socks but of a much stronger and higher quality).

Does anyone have any advice?

Cheers, I appreciate any help you can give.

I am researching this via LinkedIn to be honest. There are plenty of businesses there that are producing textiles, specially in China. Try textile group and I am sure you will sing what you are looking for.

We do cotton bags for example and I was able to get hold of some businesses that can support us and help us to grow faster. Good luck!

Starting a clothing brand is very competitive and money consuming, there are thousands of clothing brands on social networking sites, no one will be willing to cross promote with you when you have such a small following at first unless your idea is new and unique

I use thewholesaleforums.co.uk if I'm looking for some good advice on when it comes to identifying suppliers and getting a suppliers review before using them. More than likely someone over there will know and be able to be a good judge of character for many suppliers that you require.

I know a lot of fashion brands choose to sell online with Shopify, because it looks good and their shops are simple for both owners and customers.

You can sell faster on Etsy and Ebay, and it is probably another good option but I don't think you can build your brand using them...
