Starting a freight forwarding brokerage business

Sorry if I have not posted this in the correct place.

I am looking into the possibility of starting a freight forwarding business with a friend who has experience in this role but doesn't know the ins and outs of the 'insides' of the business. So I'm just trying to find out about the logistics and the legal side. We would act as a freight forwarder (no stock holding for companies) first in Europe and potentially move internationally in the future. I was just trying to gain some advice as to what sort of licensing would be needed? What insurance would be needed? Finally, is there anything to be aware of before looking into this further?

Hi, Chris! Sorry to disturb you, but I just want to ask for maybe your help or you know someone who can help. Basically I am in London for a year, came from Ukraine where I was working as a freight dispetcher or exchanger, now I really want to start doing it here. So I am looking for someone who can become like a mentor for me for a day or two and show, explain things how it is here, obviously if it won't be for free I understand but I just need to find right route. i did some research on internet about freights platforms in Europe and UK. I would really appreciate your time and help. And will understand if you won't have a chance to help me out! Have a good evening!
