I need help with getting a call centre program and a 0844 or 0800 number for my business it has to be low cost or FREE since I'm trying to run the call centre at home with one phone line (VIP)
Its an online business for computer repairs as of now the website is being designed.

I have looked into this website http://www.free0844.net which gets me FREE 0844 number but they don't help with call centre program, I have tried Bitrix24 but its too advanced for me...

Hi Naheem,
If you want a cheap number to a VoIP phone then an 01/02 number would probably be best. If you want to create a bigger image you could use a non geographic number like an 0800 or 03 number.
If you want to give me a call on 033 33 58 33 33 or PM me we can discuss what you need in more detail regarding numbers and a call centre program.

Noooooo!

Don't use 08 anything. 08 is anonymous and will lose you business. Use a local number for you local service.

Depends what type of industry you're operating in. If you're a start up communications company then 0800 implies you're a big operation. Your business is computer support, if you're targeting local business then go with a local number 100%. If you're aim is to target nationally straight away then go for an 0800 number.

I disagree. There is no longer any need for even a national company to use 0800.

0800 implies a call centre. A local
number implies a personal response. This why a number of organisation now have local numbers. They go through to the same call centre but people feel better about calling them.

0800 is a freephone number. You might use it if you want to encourage calls, but these days people have free calls with their mobile tariffs to local numbers, I think, so I'm not sure it's necessary.

08XX anything else and people might think they're paying 10p+ a minute, which is offputting.

Also, a local number is reassuring, especially if it's local to the caller.
