Hi there, I'm looking into to start up my own business. I'm doing specialized cleaning now for 2 years for the company, but as they pay really bad, I want to start my own thing. Basically, I'm 22 and I'm kid whit big dreams. I have already business plan and website, just need to register a company as a Ltd. I have cherry picker, Sizerlifter licenses and confined space entry certificate and working in high certificate. I have experience in industrial cleaning, warehouse cleaning, roof cleaning, Ventilation duct cleaning, Building cleaning, Grain store cleaning Drain, duct and gutter cleaning, Machine internal cleaning, garden cleaning and Other related cleaning services.

I have a couple people whit same experience and i have a van whit all the tools what we need to do a job.

Where shouldI start to look for customers? What's better for them to come as self employed or take them part time. Can i run a business from home as Idon't have an office?.

Yes, millions of businesses are run from home.

What's better for them to come as self employed or take them part time.

If they are genuinely self employed, i.e. they use their own tools and can pick an chose jobs, self employed is simplest for you.

But it is likely they are really 'employees' in which case you want a zero hour type contract, and to pay them through a payroll - you should get an employment person to draw up a employment contract and an accounting firm / payroll firm to run your payroll.

As you are starting a limited company, I would advise you to find an accountant that can keep you on the straight and narrow with the tax man.

Where shouldI start to look for customers?

Good question, without customers you are not a business.

    I have already business plan

Part of your business plan has to be your marketing plan, your marketing plan tells you how you plan to find customers. If it doesn't you need to rework that part.

Can I ask why a limited company?

You cant choose to make someone self employed - if you could lots of employers would save huge amounts in tax, National Insurance and pensions etc.

You have to look at the circumstances in which people are engaged to work and decide based upon that whether they are employed. Generally if you are deciding when, where and how they work they are employed and you need to run a payroll and deal with all that's involved in being an employer. An accountant can help with all of this and more.

Lots of people do run businesses from home but you may have some restrictions depending on where you live, what work you do and what will be stored at home - check with your local council, landlord or mortgage provider. You may need some additional insurance too.

Basically if they can turn up when they want, take breaks when they want, go home when they want, take time off when they want.
Send someone else of their choice to do the work
    Invoice you for the job
    Use own tools
    Wear own clothing

    Then probably self employed.

If you need to have them under control, need them at work at 9am at a particular place, using your tools, travelling between jobs on your say so (paid travel of course) then they are probably employees.

In theory self employed also charge you more than employee hourly rate.
What I would do for £12 an hour as an employee I'd probably charge £25 an hour as self employed.
