Start up as a Independent Travel Agent

I am currently after a career change! I am after some advice on setting up as an independent travel agent working from home. I don't have any experience in sales and don't have the IATA or ATOL license which i am guessing i need for this business?

Although i don't have experience in sales something i do have is customer service experience which i have gained in the past 4 years with my current job. I have also got experience in traveling as i was in the armed forces for 4 years.

Becoming an independent travel agent is something i am passionate about but where do i start?

I think there are franchise outlets there used to be some mainly selling travel arrangements to businesses as well as holliday crowd
