I'm keen to become self-employed and set-up my own payroll bureau. Has anyone here done this already, or is in the process of doing so, as I'd really appreciate some guidance?

Decide if you want to be a ltd company or a sole trader.
Find out about professional indemnity insurance.
Look into different payroll software.
Start marketing.

Also, look into registering as a payroll agent with hMRC. It's not compulsory, but it helps.
