Some more free weight loss tips!

As promised.

Im getting into this blogging thing now.

http://thefitfacts.blogspot.com/

Todays article is about losing weight. Something 90% of people who come to me are after! So why not blog about it?

Off subject, how do I go about getting my blogs published via this site?

Hope it is useful to everyone who reads it!

Any feed back is greatly appreciated.

I actually like the way you write, it's easy to read and the content is good, it reads like your talking to people and I like that.

The only thing I don't like about both your articles is I think there is information missing, I know the point of a blog is supposed to be short and sweat which are articles are, but maybe having a web site with more information might be a good idea.

Good Luck

I was going to include a sample training program, but they can be hard to follow without the demo of each of the exercises. So I plan to just keep the blogs along this format. Just a short word aobut different subjects. I aimed for 500 words, the last one was 460-odd this one was 550. I think that is snappy and informative enough. I hope as it grows people find them useful, and if they have any questions or require further info, I leave my email address on it for just that.

All the info I am giving out there is free, I will do a training program for someone for free, if they are a subscriber to the blog. I will give anyone a healthy eating program if they need one. I won't make any money from this, but I hope it builds trust in me and my company as this is the sector we are in.

PS I do actually gain from it, with the AdSense ads along the side, but I doubt I'll be buying a candy white Audi S3 with red leather interior of the back of it!

I have read your blog and found it a great help! As i think i have told you in a previous post i am on a health kick and trying to loose weight aswell as doing the race for life in June (i know i don't have to run it as its for charity and fun but i want to!).

I joined the gym at the beginning of January and have been going between 3-4 times a week. I do cardivascular work in the gym itself and i also do a couple of classes.

I expected the weight to drop off me (i am size 16 so not a skinny minny!) and did not previously do any excersize. I weighed myself when i started and then 3 weeks later i weighed myself and had only lost 2 pounds - i was devastated to say the least......but i was then i a size 14 trousers so i knew something was happening!

It is hard not to get demotivated and i really wanted to have lost at least 7lb!

I have tried my best to stick at the gym and so far i am doing well.....although not been this week yet!!!

I think it's really easy to become demotivated when trying to lose a bit of weight. I went to the doctor and she told me I was overweight for my height, even though I weighed the same as the members of Girls Aloud!! I decided not to listen to her and I'm just trying to tone up now. I'm keeping up the regular exercise and trying to eat as well as I can. The weight doesn't really come off at once, but I'm determind to lose a bit.

Just a quick one, removed the google adverts from you main web site, it makes it look like free hosting and doesn't give a professional image, plus it is very unlikely your going to make money from it anyway.

Lucyauty: Let me know type of exercise you are doing, send as PM if you want, and what type of classes are available. 4 times a week training is certainly enough. As I mentioned in the blog, it happens a lot where people get tunnel vision looking at the weigh scales. My top tip is to bin the scales and get a full legth mirror and tape measure. I can give you a 4 wk plan around what you are aiming for and what you already do. You might be doing just fine, and I can tweak it a touch.

Sandralewis: Yep, it can be hard keeping motivated to exercise, I have days when I can't face doing a thing. Usually weekends! I only do 4 days usually sometimes 5. Thats partly the reason I wrote todays article. People sometimes think theyre doing something wrong when they stop the sudden weight loss. 90% of the time it will be due to a slight increase in muscle mass. The other times it can be down to water retention and even the time of day you weigh yourself. If you drink a litre of water, and step oto the scales, that will add just under a kg to your weight. Ignore the scales, look in the mirror, but remember, you cannot target weight loss a particular area, your body uses up energy stores from the whole body at the same time.

It is. You cannot argue with body fat measurements, they are accurate measurement of how much excess weight we are carrying.

Compare the advice you have given in your blog to the drivel that people are told at weightwatchers etc.

I will not deny that weightwatchers and the like are good for some people but the almost complete reliance on scales as the be all and end all of health in not very far seeing.

Did you know the French foriegn Legion rehydrate after long marches using Kronenburg 1664?

In fact, any liquid is good for rehydration, despite the myths behind alcohol, fresh orange, milk, coffee, etc....

Obviously nothing beats water, because it doesnt need to be broken down by the body, but any fluid will hydrate you if you are thirsty.

Lager contains a lot of simple sugars, so if you have had a very hard run, or gym session, then a pint will replenish your fluids, a bit, and provide you with much needed blood sugar.

BUT the actual alcohol content means that it is still a poison, and instead of getting the benefits from it, your body, will just try to flush out the poison.

Also if weight loss is your goal the huge number of calories will wreck that for you.

Football.
Use the 18 yard box, go across the goal, starting on one side.
Put the players in groups of 3 or 4.
Have each group of players run through the following activities twice.
Slow jog
Skipping
Side steps (steeping left then right)
Karaoke’s (the little jive thing, you may know it as something else)
High knees
Heel flicks

Stop for a stretch, start with calves, hanmstring, quads, groin, abs, glutes min 15 secs per stretch

Bounds with a high jump
Out to in groin stretches
In to out groin
Slow lunges with knee touching floor
Stride
Run
Sprint

Repeat the stretching again.

For Basketball, include arm rotations, and also include some dribbling with the ball/shooting or passing to a team member to prepare the arms.

Anyone with something difficult?
