some help with amazon

hi there

ive been on amazon for over 2 weeks now and had some good sales.

ive also added a few of my own products to the catalogue and had a few sales from them too.

the question is how long does it take or how many sales does a new listed product have to have before if shows the 'customers who bought this also bought' selection?

i know my items have been purchased with other items that show this but they dont show up on the other items listing and no other items show up on the new listing either?

Thats a bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question to be honest. Oh, the workings of Amazon... there is no definitive answer really...firstly it will be 90 days/3 months and an undefined number of positive feedbacks before you get the buy button. That is sort of the magic key in that once you have the buy button assigned to you directly as opposed to "available from these sellers" you should find that your general sales increase (as long as you maintain good feedback of course). As for the cross selling aspect that is more to do with the product gaining a sales rank on the platform which, of course, it won't have yet and will all depend on how many units and at what speed you sell them. Two weeks is still very new so don't expect anything serious to happen just yet....just keep your head down and keep chiselling away

Thanks very much for the reply Andy, this has been a good help for me to understand the workings of Amazon a bit better.

As you say, i'll keep chiseling away at it and hopefuly things will pick up in time.

LOL..I always try to NOT understand the workings of Amazon too much.... you will find down the line that it leads to early dementia!

What you have to remember at all times is that Amazon is like its very own country or maybe world....they have laws and rules that sometimes defy belief....but if you want to live and work there you have to be a lawabiding citizen whether you agree with them or not!
