This is going to sound really stupid, but I cannot remember if I registered as a sole trader or not, would I have received any mail from HMRC?

On my online tax account I have my UTR, though I was a self employed courier years ago. I am now an online trader, I remember when I first looked I didn't think I would make enough, I'm about 70% sure I did register and enter my Company name, but never had any mail about it, nor could I find any emails confirming?

Any ideas how I could check or should I just register again?

I started trading in May last year so do I need to file? Do I estimate till May. Has been over a decade since I last dealt with tax returns and Google keeps bringing me back to same page and I don't know if they mean profit or total sales , it's mostly new stock I'm selling no I have invested a small fortune to get it going

If you only started trading in May 2024 then no need to submit a tax return until after April 2025, you already have a UTR and that is all you need to submit the return.
You should give HMRC a ring to check you are registered though as if you are not then you may not be registered for National Insurance either which you need to be.
Also a sole trader is not a Company.
