Hi All,

I currently live in a rented house and the tenacy agreement states the property can not to be used for business, I'm going to start trading as a Sole Trader and need another address for my business, can I / do i need to use a virtal office as my address for Bank Account, and when i register with HMRC as self empolyed ?
Thanks

I wouldnt worry, you will be allowed to use the address for your bank account and as hmrc address with no problems.

Most tenancy agreements will have a clause in saying the premises cant be used for business. That doesnt mean you cant live at the address and be a sole trader plumber for example.

As above, if you don't bring your clients to the property and don't store stock or manufacture things in the property then landlords won't care.

Obviously if you want to set up a dentist practice, or manufacture furniture, or store corrosive chemicals at the property that is a different matter.
