Sole trader - how does credit score work?

Hello guys and girls,

Me again :) At some point I might look into supplying computer systems, parts etc which with the supplier I am looking at offers a credit line.
My question is, as a sole trader how does the credit score work, is it still as me - or does the business have it's own credit rating? If so how do I build this up and check the rating as I do with my own rating?

Thanks in advance!

If you're a sole trader then you and the business are one and the same. It would depend how your supplier assesses credit, whether they carry out checks with credit rating agencies (Equifax, Experian, etc) or whether they're more interested in your trading history. They may also request trade references and/or ask for a reference from your bank (you would have to agree to this first).
